Hopedale Hospital

Intensive Care Unit

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at HMC is a community of skilled, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified medical professionals who are a caring, patient-focused staff.  The Critical Care team includes nurses, physicians, respiratory care practitioners, a nutritionist, and a pharmacist; each team member has expertise in meeting the needs of critically ill patients and their families.

No one under the age of 12 is allowed in the ICU.  Those ages 12-17 must be accompanied by an adult.  Visiting hours begin at 8:00am and are limited to 10 minutes every hour.  We ask that there be no more than 2 visitors at a time.  We ask that no flowers are delivered or brought into the ICU.

Overnight Accommodations for Family Arrangements can be made for family members visiting from out of town.   For an optimum care environment, we discourage family from spending the night in patient rooms.  HMC can assist in helping you find options for overnight accommodations for family members that are visiting from out of town.  Please speak to your nurse regarding overnight accommodations, if necessary.
