Hopedale, IL. -  Hopedale Medical Complex (HMC) is pleased to announce the addition of Edward H. Kolb, M.D., orthopedics, to its medical staff. Dr. Kolb and his staff will see patients and perform surgery at Hopedale Medical Complex. He is accepting new patients.

Dr. Kolb completed his undergraduate education at University of Illinois in Champaign/Urbana and completed Medical School and Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Rush Medical College in Chicago, a consistently ranked top 10 Orthopedic Surgery program.

Dr. Kolb has practiced in the Central Illinois area for more than 20 years. He specializes in minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee. Dr. Kolb has been recognized with Honors at Rush for his research in cartilage transplantation. 

He continues to serve Rush University as a member of the Liaison Committee on Medical Education and regularly presents lectures to area organizations and local universities on innovative techniques in orthopedic surgery. Dr. Kolb is also the President of the Ireland Grove Surgery Center in Bloomington, IL.

Throughout his career, Dr. Kolb has been a team physician for Millikin University and Illinois State University. He is also the current team physician for the Central Illinois Flying Aces, USHL.
