Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease “GERD” affects up to 1 in 5 adults in the United States. An alternative treatment method using a small cylindrical bracelet implanted around the esophagus is now available at Hopedale Medical Complex. GERD is caused by a weak muscle in the esophagus that allows acid and digestive juices to flow back from the stomach into the esophagus. Board certified surgeon Dr. Matthew B. Rossi will be discussing this alternative treatment at a Lunch & Learn at the Hopedale Wellness Center on Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 12:00-1:00pm.
Dr. Rossi has been studying and treating GERD for over 30 years. He has helped patients with varying degrees of GERD seek comfort through appropriate treatments. The cost for the Lunch and Learn is $3 and includes the lunch. Please register by November 21 by calling the Hopedale Wellness Center at (309) 449-4500.
The Hopedale Wellness Center is located in Hopedale, IL; it is part of the Hopedale Medical Complex.
