Lifeguard Training
Prepare for summer by becoming a certified lifeguard. Hopedale Wellness Center is offering both full certification and re-certification Red Cross Lifeguard courses in April. Participants will become Lifeguard certified including CPR, First Aid, and AED certification through the American Red Cross. The full certification course meets in the evening for two weeks, and the course is designed for those desiring initial certification or whose certifications have expired. The re-certification course is a weekend intensive for those with an existing certificate.
Full certification classes will be April 2-12 on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 4:30-9pm. Course requirements including passing a swimming pre-test, attending all classes, and being age 15 by the last day of class. Cost is $350 for the course.
For re-certification classes will be Saturday, April 21 from 8a-5p and Sunday April 22nd from 1-5p. Course requirements include attending both classes. Cost is $125.

Both courses will be held in the 34,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art Hopedale Wellness Center in Hopedale, IL. Water skills will be practiced in the 25-yard junior Olympic pool located in the indoor Aquatics area.
