Hopedale Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine Athletic Trainer selected to be on the medical team for Special Olympics USA during the World Games in Austria.
Hopedale, IL – Special Olympics USA will send a 210-member delegation to represent the United States at the 2017 Special Olympics World Winter Games held March 14-25, 2017, in Graz, Ramsau and Schladming, Austria. Greg Eberle ATC, CEAS, Assistant Director of Sports Medicine at the Hopedale Medical Complex, is one of seven medical team members in the delegation to provide care for the athletes during the games. There are 4 physicians and 3 Certified Athletic Trainers on the team. Eberle’s responsibility will be overseeing the snowshoeing venue. “This is a privilege to be part of a team that represents the USA and working with all of the outstanding Special Olympic Athletes.” Eberle stated. Hopedale Medical Complex COO, Mark Rossi, added , “It’s not surprising that Greg was selected for this trip among the numerous applicants, as he has always displayed exemplary performance here at HMC and in our area communities.
