Local FFA Group Volunteer at HMC
April 8, 2016

Hopedale, Illinois-February 25, 2016-The Tremont FFA, established in 1948, has been busy celebrating National FFA Week, with a variety of activities which highlight agricultural education throughout their community.  This includes Ag in the Classroom presentations at Tremont grade school and promoting FFA throughout the area.

A large part of National FFA Week is the opportunity for local chapters to reach out into their community through local service projects. One of those projects for the Tremont FFA was working with the Hopedale Medical Complex Volunteer Services Program. Sixteen FFA members volunteered on Tuesday, February 23 at the Hopedale Nursing Home and the Commons Assisted and Independent Living by playing a variety of games with residents, showcasing their creativity with a few craft projects and being the host for the resident’s bingo session.

Pictured are the Tremont FFA members who took part in the evening of fun at HMC. The Complex thanks them for their volunteerism and look forward to many more projects ahead.
