Mark Rossi, Chief Operating Officer for Hopedale Medical Complex, was re-elected to the Board of Directors of the Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network at its annual member meeting on November 6, 2013, in Springfield. In continuation of his role, Mr. Rossi will support the organization and its mission to strengthen and provide assistance and resources to its 52 member hospitals. Pat Schou, Executive Director of ICAHN said, “I am excited about working with Mark in the coming year. He continues to bring valuable experience to our board and helps us navigate through the many changes and exciting times that are ahead of us.” Rossi will serve as ICAHN’s Regulatory and Legislative Chairman in 2014.
Mr. Rossi has served as COO/General Counsel for Hopedale Medical Complex since 2000. Prior to serving as COO, he operated his own general law practice with concentration in municipal, small business, health care, local government, and estate planning. He was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1984 and obtained his Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law, Chicago, in 1983. Mr. Rossi, a resident of Hopedale, is married and has three children, including a physical therapist, a registered nurse, and a nursing student.
ICAHN is a network of 52 small rural Illinois hospitals dedicated to strengthening the operations of its member hospitals through collaboration. The organization is composed of Illinois hospitals who have earned critical access hospital designation by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services. ICAHN is recognized nationally for its work with rural healthcare and administers several, state, federal, and private healthcare programs. The ICAHN office is located in Princeton, IL, and serves critical access hospitals across Illinois.
