Hopedale Medical Foundation is again accepting applications from high school seniors and college freshmen for its Spring 2012 Scholarship Awards. The Foundation has awarded over $450,000 in scholarships to area students since 1980.
High School Seniors and Home-Schooled Seniors from the following school districts, as well as College Freshman who have graduated from these districts are eligible: Olympia, Tremont, Delavan, Hartsburg/Emden, Deer Creek/Mackinaw, Midwest Central and Morton. Applications may be picked up at your high school counselor’s officer, at HMC Administration building located at 107 Tremont Street in Hopedale or on our website www.HopedaleMC.com.
The application deadline is Friday, 4:00 p.m., March 2, 2012.
Scholarships are divided into three groups:
1. Two (2) Healthcare Scholarships of $2,000; One (1) Healthcare Scholarship at $3,000 and Two (2) Healthcare Scholarships at $1,000 each.
All healthcare fields of study are eligible.
2.One (1) Family Farm Scholarship – $4,000
Students entering the Agricultural Field are eligible.
3. One (1) Founder’s Scholarship – $5,000
Any field of study related to Healthcare
Applications are judged by an independent panel of judges who will review:
ACT/SAT Scores Financial Need (OPTIONAL)
Class Standing Counselor’s Recommendation
Applicant’s Narrative Other Favorable Recommendations
Community/Extra-curricular Involvement
Winners will be announced in late April 2012.
