Hopedale, IL – Hopedale Medical Complex’s Senior Director of Professional & Facility Services, Joe Whitson, Ms. Ed., ATC, LAT, has been chosen to join the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) Research & Education Foundation.  The philanthropic arm of NATA, the research and education foundation “champions research, supports education, and enhances knowledge to optimize the clinical experience and outcomes within the diverse patient populations served by the athletic training profession.”
 

A member of NATA since 1997, Mr. Whitson is currently the District 11 Chair.  Through his work at the district level, Whitson has advocated for the profession, connected with peers throughout the United States, and has been a staunch supporter of research and education in the field of athletic training.  “I am honored to be able to grow my role with NATA at the foundation level.  I believe in our mission and understand the importance of optimizing all that we, as athletic trainers and our organization can offer to so many,” shared Joe Whitson, Ms. Ed., ATC, LAT.  Whitson will take on this new role on the Board of Directors in June of 2023.
