Hopedale, IL – As we head into 2023, Christian Life Academy (CLA) is celebrating its 15th year and has been busy working on their new high school building that is expected to open in the Fall of 2023. Since we at Hopedale Medical Complex (HMC) see this progress happening every day, it was an easy decision to donate funds raised from the community during our most recent Thanksgiving Day meal to this project. While our Thanksgiving Day meals are free, many of those who live in the community and surrounding area choose to leave a donation for their meal. This year HMC collected $1093.00 on that day.
Now, fast forward to last week, where Hopedale Medical Complex had the pleasure of donating that $1093.00 back to Christian Life Academy on behalf of the local community. Emily Whitson, COO shared, “We are thankful for the growth that Christian Life Academy has had over the past 15 years, and we look forward to their continued growth with the addition of the new high school building.”
The building continues to move forward with the current exterior almost complete, interior construction ongoing, and the mechanicals beginning this month. The building will be comprised of classrooms, a science lab, and a community gathering room. Principal Josh Horning commented, “HMC has always been such a wonderful support and friend to CLA. With so many donors and supporters, we are well on our way to completing the building debt-free and excited to celebrate with the community this coming fall.”
