Program Definitions:
This youth-oriented gym and fitness program for children ages 6 – 12 provides a sound, progressive training regimen that will help young people begin a lifelong journey of health and fitness. The program includes strength regimens and fun cardiovascular workouts using youth fitness equipment, standard fitness equipment, free weights, cardio equipment and a Wii. These will workouts will help improve reaction time and coordination.

Parent & Tot
This is a fun class for parent and tot to expand their motor skills, learn and explore safely. Instructor leads activities to include circle time, stretching, structured play and free play. *Please note: An adult (age 16 or older) must be partnered 1-on-1 with each child. Adult and child must come in movable clothing and ready to participate. Registration form must be completed for each participant (adult and child).

Tiny Tumblers
This class is for a child who is ready to explore the positive and fun world of gymnastics on their own. Children will strengthen motor movements, as well as improve balance, flexibility, and body control. An adult is NOT to accompany child. Appropriate clothing should be worn and long hair should be pulled up. Participants may wear socks or go with bare foot..

Terrific Movers
This class concentrates on building gymnastic skills and techniques in a fun and positive environment. Children will advance their gymnastic skills and physical abilities with a focus on coordination, balance, social skills, while developing self-confidence. Participants should be appropriately dressed from head to toe in moveable clothing or leotard, hair pulled up and preferably bare foot. Participant must complete and pass tiny tumblers (with consent of coach) or can successfully complete a forward roll with no hands, hold bride for 10 seconds, and demonstrate proper form of a cartwheel.

Rollers
This is the first in a series of skill progressions for young gymnasts in the sport of gymnastics. Develop balance, strength, flexibility, conditioning, and most importantly, self confidence. No experience needed. Appropriate clothing should be worn and long hair should be pulled up. Participants may wear socks or go barefoot.

Gliders
This is the second in a series of skill progressions for young gymnasts. With the completion of rollers or meeting coach’s placement recommendations, children will continue their journey of learning and excelling in the sport of gymnastics. This class focuses on challenging children to learn a higher skill level along with respect for themselves and others. Advancement to this class approved by coaches only.
6-Week Session, Min/Max: 3/6

Level Placement: Coaches care about safety and well being of your child. Every gymnast is tested throughout each session to ensure correct class placement. All gymnasts progress at different rates. Some may move through levels quite quickly while others may spend a year or more in each level. Both are quite normal and should not be a cause of concern. This is a fun-filled atmosphere for your child to learn and grow.
Interested in a great summer job or challenging career as a professional lifeguard? Video, group discussion, and hands-on practice are used to develop teamwork, rescue, and surveillance skills. Learn First Aid, CPR/ AED, and other skills required to work as a professional lifeguard. Participants must pass swim test requirements.
Ages: 15 yrs and older
Fee: $250 per person
Current and future babysitters will learn effective ways to keep the children in their care safe. Participants will learn how to perform first aid and basic care routines, respond effectively to emergencies, and how to manage an illness. The fee includes activities, guidebook, and lunch. Certification cards are awarded to each student who successfully completes the class.

This program is dedicated to educating and preparing girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living. Girls will meet two times a week and follow a program for pre-teen and tween-age girls. Each session will include warm-ups and running work-outs. Various activities will focus on developing healthy decision-making skills. Q&A sessions are included during stretching routines. The workouts will prepare the girls to run in the Hopedale Medical Complex Independence Day 5k on July 4th, 2013. Run registration fee is included in this program fee; however, race registration is required for race participation.

Hey Parents! Here is a great opportunity for you to work one-on-one with your child and spend quality time together! This program teaches sports motor skills to build a child’s confidence, while they have FUN! Our staff will teach children and their parents to catch, hit, throw, and run without the threat of competition or the fear of injury.

Ages: 3-5 yrs

Min/Max: 8/20
Hey Parents! Here is a great opportunity for you to work one-on-one with your child and spend quality time together! This program teaches sports motor skills to build a child’s confidence, while they have FUN! Our staff will teach children and their parents to dribble, kick, pass, shoot, and run/ agility without the threat of competition or the fear of injury.

Can you imagine up to six t-ball games being played simultaneously? Bonker ball is a great way to refine eye-hand coordination and provide great fun for your 4-5 year-old child. The game is played with a team of four players. The batter hits the ball off the tee, then they must run between two ones, before the fielders return the ball to the tee.
