Why Give
At Hopedale Medical Complex, philanthropy takes many forms. HMC is continually supported through the gifts of time, talent, and financial support from individuals, families, corporations, and foundations. At HMC, every gift counts!
Our Mission
We are committed to excellence in promoting good health and wellness to all and serving the healthcare needs of the sick and elderly, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, without discrimination and regardless of one’s ability to pay.
Gifts made to HMC sustain our mission of providing important services, patient care and treatment while providing support to projects in and around our local community. Every gift makes a difference in the work we do and in the lives of the patients we serve.
When you make a gift to HMC, it becomes an investment, an investment that pays dividends in people’s lives.

Celebrate the life of a friend, a special occasion in your family, or honor a loved one’s memory by making a gift to our Giving Tree. The tree is located in the emergency entrance waiting area. Hopedale Medical Complex is proud to be able to give back to the community by offering healthcare and farming college scholarships to high school seniors and college freshman. To date, over $500,000 in scholarships have been awarded.
Planned giving typically includes the donation of stocks, bonds, or property. Hopedale Medical Complex can assist you in getting the best advice on making a contribution of stocks, bonds, or property, while making sure you get the appropriate income tax deduction. Bequests have become a popular way to provide significant, long-term support to the Hopedale Medical Complex. HMC accepts bequests of any size or type. A large bequest from the Elmer and Viola Hillman Estate helped HMC construct the new Hillman Nursing Home Pavilion addition in 2001.
This is an opportunity to make a larger gift than you may have thought possible and could generate substantial tax advantages. Please contact the Chief Operating Officer for more information regarding this type of gift.
